No, I do not live in Paradise, and I do not claim my words come directly from there; though I certainly pray for God’s guidance as I write. This blog began in Hawaii, where I pastored two wonderful congregations for a total of ten years. Hawaii is affectionately known as “Paradise” by many because of its beauty, and it and its people have a special place in my heart.
So Words from Paradise has a double meaning. Not only did I live in the land of Aloha, but I believe that God communicates with us from His paradise, Heaven, through His word, the Bible, and through His Spirit. And His words give us hope, guidance, and grounding for life in this world.
In Words from Paradise, I will share my thoughts on many things from Scripture. I hope you will be blessed and helped by some of it.
